body surfing

All you need is a surfboard, some swimming ability and a nearby beach. The local surfers out on the waves can lose their patience with newbies who don't know the rules and big surfing no no's.

Your height will also help you determine which board is for you, because your surfboard should always be at least 6" taller than you are no matter what. Other famous world class Hawaii surf spots are kammies, backdoor, rocky point, laniakea, jockos and haleiwa just to name a few. It s much easier to learn the right way to do things initially than to rectify bad habits and, you don t want to spend your hard earned money on surfing gear, in particular on a surfboard, before you ve had some training and experience, because you won t know what board best suits your style of surfing.

There are many excellent surfing instructors throughout the world. While it is usually by beginners you will often see an advanced surfer using them between the flags at the beach. You don't want to sink.

Practice makes Perfect. So your fully decked out in your wettie, got your board and it's all waxed up and ready to go!
