surfing wetsuits

Surfing Hawaii's sunset beach is more then an adventure it is an experience. The only surfing instruction available to us was watching other guys in the water, copying what they where doing, and hanging on for grim death if it all came unstuck, which it usually did.

Longboards are more stable than shortboards, and catch waves with less effort on the part of the beginner surfer. Test the water first, you might be able to get away with board shorts, but I would recommend a rash vest also. Look for schools with accredited coaches.

It traps a layer of water, which the body warms, then holds it against the skin, keeping the warm water inside of the suit. Its unique shape allows for a looser, faster board for fun on those smaller days. But this is not always the case as some surfers prefer different styles of boards depending on when they paddle into a wave, how strong they are at paddling and how good balance they.

So get yourself an instructor, suit up, grab a board and hit the beach! Please, know your limits.
