surfing waves

It s all about conquering fear, learning water safety, expanding your ocean and wave knowledge, and returning to the true essence of surfing, fun and relaxation. Surfing is the kind of sport where the person sits out past the break and is waiting for a wave to come so they can paddle and try to catch it before it breaks so that they can ride it and get a good ride.

Once you take all of these into account you then get to look at the surfboard itself. Deciding what to do is all just a matter of experience. For instance, if you are beginner, you will want to start out on a softboard or a longboard, which will meet the six inch rule of thumb easily.

Usually, surfing schools will provide the surfboard for your lesson, so you won't need to buy a surfboard right away. The ideal boards to learn to surf on would be 8-9 ft, and wider than usual. Although Mavericks was named in 1961 and surfed by only a few brave surfers for many years, today it has become a popular destination for surfers who want to catch a big wave in California.

Sharing waves keeps everyone happy. There are so many great places to surf in southern California.
