surfing the net with kids

The only surf school the first surfers attended was the school of hard knocks, heavy wipe outs, and plenty of peer pressure. Like most sports, the best way to learn to surf is to do it.

Don't under estimate the kids who are most likely 8 year old to mid teens, its amazing how young these kids start surfing waves. Having a professional selecting the ideal surf break for you to learn, helping you choose which surf board and fin set up is best for you, showing the safest way to enter and exit the surf and the proper paddling and wave catching techniques relieves virtually all of the stress off of a new surfers shoulders and greatly boosts self-confidence so all they have to concentrate on is just catching the wave. Sun salutions in yoga help you to get to your feet as the process is much the same.

As soon as you break the surface, get back on your surfboard and paddle like crazy. The surfing sport started on longboards, and hanging ten on a longboard is way of life for many surfers. In 1999, the first annual Invitation-Only Mavericks Surf Contest was formed.

You are far more likely to sustain an injury if you and your board are getting washed around together. Follow basic surfing etiquette and you will save a lot of trouble.
