surfing windsurfing

A few surfing lessons can have just about any water bug hurling down the waves in no time flat, and finding out through first hand experience what all the fuss is about. Surfing is a phenomenal sport that can literally be picked up by almost anyone at nearly any age.

Remember, even when you think you are regressing, you are in fact progressing, some days you`ve got it and other days you don't, the more you use up the bad days the sooner you will reach your goal. Make sure your wetsuit fits well, otherwise you could get rashes in all sorts of places.

Even if you think you're going to get beat by the wave, just keep paddling straight toward the wave. You can find a private surf instructor by simply searching the internet for a surf instructor in the area in which you want to learn how to surf, they will surely be knowledgeable about all regional beaches and together you will choose the surf break best suited for you. Some surfers really like longboarding, while others prefer the maneuverability of a shortboard.

There are midsize boards, often called funboards, which will give you the best of both worlds. Often you can hire these boards near your local beach, but if not, try and borrow someones mal. It may seem easier to jump up on one knee first, but this is not ideal.

If you are paddling out then keep hold of your board, you'll get out back to the line up more quickly and you will not put anyone paddling out behind you at risk. Take note of where you should be surfing before you go out, and make sure you stick to it when you are out.
