flintstones surfing

Most of the older guys you see in the water these days did not have the benefit of surf schools when they where learning. The first thing you will need is the right equipment.

People of all ages are drawn to the majesty of our beautiful oceans. The main shapes of surfboards are longboards, mini-mals, fish, shortboards and hybrids of these shapes. Regardless of your reason for seeking out a surfing instructor there are a few things that you should consider mandatory, a long history of surfing, up-to-date first aid certification, proven surf rescue experience, and a thorough knowledge of wave, weather and wind conditions.

Many have been involved in competitive surfing of some description or have at least spent enough time in the water to have a sound knowledge of the demands of the sport. The gun can perform tricks when used by highly skilled surfers, but for a beginner, the gun would need waves that most beginners would find overpowering. The stand up paddle board can be either a midsize board or a longboard, and the difference with this surfboard is that you stand up on it the entire time and move around with a tall paddle rather than lying down on the board and using your arms as oars.

Watch out for sharks! Check out the surf spot while warming up.
