anon surfing

You may be fired up and ready to surf, but don t jump the gun. You may be fired up and ready to surf, but don t jump the gun.

Sunset beach is part of the miracle seven mile of beach stretch that lines the north shore. Now is the time you have been waiting for, jumping up and riding on the surf board. There are many things to learn starting out, like terminology, safety precautions and surfing etiquette.

This winter wonderland of monster waves is also one of the most dangerous surfing locations in the world. The second type of a wipeout and without a doubt the most horrific is going over the falls, this is from not having enough paddling speed to catch the wave early enough, getting sucked up the face and pitched over with the lip. The stand up paddle board can be either a midsize board or a longboard, and the difference with this surfboard is that you stand up on it the entire time and move around with a tall paddle rather than lying down on the board and using your arms as oars.

If you are surfing on a patrolled beach make sure that you keep within the designated surfing area. Sharing waves keeps everyone happy.
