surfing myspace layout

Undoubtedly one of the best places in the world to learn to surf is Australia. The popularity of surfing starting growing in the1960's when movies like Gidget and Beach Blanket Bingo, which exposed the rest of the world to a sport only known to locals who were lucky enough to live near the beach.

Test the water first, you might be able to get away with board shorts, but I would recommend a rash vest also. A good operator is a good sign they take the business of surfing instruction seriously. Check out how the school operates.

It will not perform miraculous feats of trickery, but it will pick up the waves easily and provides a good deal of stability down the crest. Most surfing lessons and surfing instructors can provide you with training surfboards, but when you decide to get serious, definitely buy yourself a nice one. If you want to try something different, there are standup paddle boards which give you a great ride and a full body workout.

Of course, anyone who wants to master more than the basics can sign up for a few more surfing lessons. Start in the whitewater, practice paddling your board and catching waves to start with.
