surfing classes

Don't go and paddle out the back until you have mastered the whitewater. A few surfing lessons can have just about any water bug hurling down the waves in no time flat, and finding out through first hand experience what all the fuss is about.

If you want to learn to surf, skip the trial and error and get a good instructor. Your instructor should also be happy to give you some advice about where to start. On smaller days you will see the future stars of surf whipping it out on the inside reef.

The techniques. how to paddle, getting into the lineup, how to get up on your board, how to ride a wave, duck-diving, plus so much more. The surfing sport started on longboards, and hanging ten on a longboard is way of life for many surfers. With the advent of rash guard shirts, surfers could say goodbye to slippery sunscreens that wash off in the water.

Have a chat with the instructors and go with your gut feel. Once you are confident and can catch waves easily, you can attempt to stand up on your board.
